Oops so I slipped again
Oops sorry about that. They gave me a slight promotion which meant a lot more work and since then pretty much everything I do online has slipped to unreachable levels. I was going to try to make up for lost time this weekend and then I found out I’m working because I’m going to take the 15th off (first day off in a long time) so I’ve got to be there tomorrow…. errr today.
So I bought my first Mac, a MacBook Pro. My crappy Gateway was so slow and unbearable to deal with that I sold it as soon as I could. It will be good for someone that doesn’t want to do more than surf the net and a few simple Word Docs. For me it was absolute hell. I LOVE my speedy little MacBook Pro. I’ve only had it for a few days and I’ve picked up the Windows to Mac switch pretty quickly. I’ll attempt to blog some other updates on Sunday when I get some more time. For now peace out my lovely readers.
Hello once again
I’m starting to make these posts just a bit more often so soon I’ll be back to blogging everyday (wait was I ever?). You’ll notice the pretty custom header. Very 2004 yes but it’s appropriate for the work I’m doing right now. Although my job is a lot of work at the end of the day I like the feeling that I’m doing my part to help for the elections in 2006 & 2008. I’m definitely not saying I want to make a career out of politics but I want to do what I can. I really want to see change in this country. We’ve gone so far down hill since 2001 and I’m afraid to see what things will look like in the future if we don’t change the majority in the congress and senate NOW. I could really go off here but I’m not going to. I deal with it enough during the week and get my fair share of debates on a daily basis.
I’m halfway through The Devil Wears Prada and I hope to finish it by next weekend so I can check out the movie. I’m planning to see POTC this week one night after work and hopefully catch Superman in the next two weeks. I’m not sure what else is coming out this summer, so for right now those are my top 3 “must see” movies.
I had to leave work early on Friday because my back was aching so bad. Even with the holiday off it felt like a long week (I worked Monday) for me. The 4th was good. It it easy, took in two parties during the afternoon and then caught some fireworks with my mom and watched Syriana while consuming the wonderful Coconut Cake from Andronicos which I picked up on the way home from the last party. My mom had just gotten back from a drive with my stepfather to Oregon and I hadn’t seen her in a few days so I figured cake and George Clooney were a good way to spend the evening (stepfather stayed in Oregon to work). I have vision issues and couldn’t see the subtitles half of the time and quickly lost interest and fell asleep and by the end my mom had enough of it. I’ll try it again when it’s on HBO. Another movies I’ve caught on DVD the past two weeks: Eight Below (I cried the entire way though) and Failure to Launch (can’t stand SJP) both were decent although Eight Below didn’t have much of a plot.
I’m hearing some coyotes outside. It doesn’t sound like they’re too far off. Time to turn in.
Follow up to Moral Question
George Bush was out jogging one morning along the parkway when he tripped, fell over the bridge railing and landed in the creek below.
Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, three kids, who were fishing, pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, “I sure would like to go to Disneyland.” George said, “No problem. I’ll take you there on Air Force One.”
The second kid said, “I really need a new pair of Nike Air Jordan’s.” George said, “I’ll get them for you and even have Michael sign them!”
The third kid said, “I want a motorized wheelchair with a built-in TV and stereo headset!!” George Bush is a little perplexed by this and says, “But you don’t look like you are injured.” The kid says, “I will be after my dad finds out I saved your ass from drowning!”
Screw Alito, I want this guy!

This is the type of judge that should be on the supreme court. One who actually uses common sense.
One Week Two Days
Well it’s been one week and two days since I got my ipod video and it’s given me a good amount of time to play around with it. I grabbed the first season of Lost as I’d only seen a few episodes from last season and it’s so handy to just be able to pull out my ipod and watch a bit of an episode when I’m waiting on line somewhere. I’m sure it will come in handy tomorrow when I go wait in the doctors office for my allergy test. I’ve only had two instances of it shutting down automatically when I was pressing the forward button but other than that it’s worked well. I haven’t fully tested the battery but an upcoming trip out of town will give me the perfect chance. I already have a Belkin Battery Pack and I picked up a big pack of AA batteries to last me throughout the plane ride. I’ve got like three layovers and I’ll be doing a lot of driving as well. Only got the batteries so I can watch Lost on the plane, just for music in the car I don’t think there will be any problems. I didn’t have too many problems with my 3rd Generation 40gig. I’m going to give it to my Dad when I see him in a week. It will be the 2nd MP3 Jukebox that I’ve handed down to him. I hope this one lasts longer than the last one. I had an Archos back in 2002 and got the iPod for Christmas in 2003.
It’s been a long three weeks. I’ve been working nearly non-stop but it all calms down in just one more day and then I’ll be away in a week for ten days on a much needed vacation.
Okay you all know where I stand on politics, I’m pretty far left. I’ve been recieving a magazine call “The New American”. This is so far left it’s off the charts, I can’t tell if half of what they’re saying is true. Anyone else been getting this? Any truth behind what they’re saying?

From the people that brought you Moral Question
Got this from the same friend who sent me Moral Question. Look closely.
.
BTW. To those who were attacking me for posting the Moral Question: I would have saved Bush because having Cheney as President is much worse.
Evacuation and Pets
I’d just like to encourage those of you out there reading this to sign this petition which supports The Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act. The first petition got over 85,000 signatures which put this possible bill into action. This would help protect animals in federal evacuation plans. I could never leave my pets behind and no one should have to.
