ARGH! What a FABULOUS Birthday. Four hours in I find out I need new tires and my check won't clear for another day! I have two bubbles in one and a slow leak in another.
Doh!
Oops. I RSVPed for the Tivo Speed Dating event in San Francisco this Monday but it took me 12 hours to remember I have a previous engagement and there’s no way I can cancel to go. Just have to hope the other side cancels.
Sephora – Oh how I love thee
I swear Sephora would be the end of my bank account if I didn’t feel quesy after being in there too long. It’s a good thing I don’t like to pay for shipping or I’d buy out their online store. I got a gift card for Christmas – $40. I bought a total of two items and still had to pay another $7 at the end. I got a good scrub which hopefully won’t make me break out like the soap I got from Bath and Body Works. $22 for 2.5oz! I must be crazy but if it doesn’t make me break out and still does it’s job it’s priceless. But I swear after 10 minutes of being in Sephora I just feel like I want to pass out or get sick. I don’t know if it’s the lighting and all the smells mixed together that does it because I can only take so much before I have to run out purchase or not. I do like how you can test a lot of different perfumes on one wall.
Right now I’m watching a pair of dogs. One is my mom’s and the other is a 3 month old puppy that belongs to her friend. They went down to Santa Cruz for the day and needed someone to watch the puppy and my mom’s dog loves the puppy (same bed too) so they go hand in hand. The puppy is easily going to outweigh my mom’s dog when she gets older so Munchkin needs to be careful about beating up on her too much. One day she’s in for a shock. I just broke up a fight where the two of them were biting each other on the face and hanging on. Gotta love spray bottles. Their moms come home soon I’ve had them since 10:30 and they’re starting to drive me crazy. In a few months they’ll both be sat on by my future Corgi.
Still here
I’m still home. The mold has dried out and now I’m just waiting for a carpet cleaner to see if we can get my carpet back to normal.
I’ve been obsessed with my Nintendo DS lately which I got for Christmas. Animal Crossing anyone?
Mold Update
Looks like I’m moving to my mom’s house for awhile the mold problem gets taken care of. Hasn’t been decided yet and they haven’t gotten a good look yet either so we’re still not sure. I’ll most likely know by the end of the day.

I hope this is a trend that catches on. Especially the part making people take a safe sex course if they don’t have a condom on them.
Just What I Needed
I’ve been housesitting at my mom’s while she was out of the country and keeping an eye on her dog. During the day I’d drop my cat off at home and at night bring her back. I thought she may have gotten “pissed” at me and peed under my bed as it smelled quite nasty when I came home. Last night was my first night back but I was so tired I didn’t mess with it. When I got home tonight I got down to see if I could find the source of the smell and I did. It’s mold. We had some bad rain storms in the past few weeks and my apartment is on the bottom floor. I’m guessing it’s a leak and it’s still damp there. My portfolio is trashed and the carpet looks like shit. My stepfather is the landlord so I’m sure he’ll be down later today to look. I’ve been trying to clean so it looks a bit better when they come to check it out. Argh! I only get about 10 days here before I have to move back to their house for more housesitting. Hopefully we find and fix the problem so I don’t have to worry about it happening again.
Gift Card Heaven
I went out and enjoyed my gift cards tonight plus some. I could only use a few of them for location where I went and I still have money left on them. The plus some came in when I hit other stores I’d been meaning to go to. I did behave and not spend a huge amount, as I do have bills to pay. I picked up a book on writing cover letters which has been difficult for me, I almost can’t wait to start working on it tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday! I had an awesome morning I believe I got pretty much everything I asked for with the exception of a Red Earred Slider turtle setup and a set of drawers to go under my desk. The turtle will have to wait anyway. I was told someone nearly bought it for me though but was discouraged by my mom. Drat. Oh well, I’ll live without them for now. I’m rocking out on my new JBL OnStage Speakers. The sound is amazing. Everytime I saw them for a cheaper price I’d pass to along to my mom and eventually I found them for $60 less than the average price. I’d recommend them to any iPod owner who wants to listen to music away from their computer. My mom recieved the Bose Sound Dock this morning and I think they both sound equally good.
We’re going to see a movie today, any recomendations? I’d really like to see Match Point.
